Sometimes we face some really difficult circumstances. We are challenged to trust God with something new. We find ourselves on our knees, waiting for wisdom, or simply being held by Him.
I know He has power, control and works all for good, but my greatest comfort is in knowing He is very close. So I often find myself yearning to see His face — and I try my best to imagine it — it is kind, understanding, and compassionate — especially His eyes. I don’t want to forget He is with me, and my imagination helps. I know His spirit lives in me but that can still feel so abstract sometimes. So I remind myself that He is also a person that loves me, sees my every expression, and really doesn’t miss a thing.
I remember that He never misses one tear that I stifle or let roll down my cheek. He has heard every prayer that I ever thought or spoke, even if it was only silently cried in the depths of my heart. He knows and He cares.
You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in your book. Psalm 56:8 (NLT)
